Self Portrait (1999)

I think I join legions who, when the road to identity establishment got rough, grasped at symbols, meanings and superstition. Still do at times, I must admit. But that cross proved over the years not the most sophisticated. These days it’s more about Indian, Chinese and Energetic symbols capturing and simplifying the increasingly circumstances. The tip of this mountain, of course, is Zen, IMO. One note about this is the blue bull … which, upon examining this, I was shocked to see had the strong meaning back then that it does today, meaning entirely self-fabricated.
